If you are looking for a night-filling fine dining, a romantic oceanfront table for two or a good dinner in a casual restaurant, Bonaire's culinairy experience offers something for everyone and every budget. 

Top 3 fine dining on Bonaire

When you are a big fan of fine-dining and like to spend a night with your loved ones or friends over a great culinary experience with excellent paired wines, then you will have some very good fine-dining restaurants to choose from. 
Make sure you book well in advance as demand will be high, especially during peak season from December - April.

1. Chefs Bonaire

Chefs Bonaire has been rewarded with excellent reviews as being the number one restaurant on the island of Bonaire. They offer an intimate culinary experience by utilizing the finest ingredients in their creation of exquisite dishes, which are being served within an intimate personal setting where the roles of the Chef, Mâitre, and Waiter seamlessly blend into one. 

2. Brass Boer

Brass Boer Bonaire is the Caribbean restaurant of the owners Jonnie & Thérèse Boer (Their restaurant The Librije in The Netherlands has been rewarded with 3 Michelin Stars). This beautiful restaurant is a dream come true for them as the island is close to their hearts. The restaurant offers worldclass oceanview fine dining with excellent wine pairing options.

3. At Sea

Restaurant At Sea is a small restaurant with oceanview on the boulevard of Kralendijk. The restaurant offers an extensive and comprehensive à la carte menu with a wide choice of creative dishes made from the available fresh products. Their motto is "The performance of today is the standard for tomorrow" and their culinary work may be seen as a piece of mouthwatering art.

Biña Restaurant

Restaurant Biña is beautifully located on the beach with a delightful sea view. The chefs can prepare you one of their culinary masterpieces from their à la carte menu or let them surprise you with a chef's menu. Fresh and local ingredients are carefully selected to create these beautifully presented dishes while the sommelier can advise you about the exceptional pairing wines for the full experience.

Sebastian’s Restaurant on Bonaire serves an international menu with a Mediterranean flair and local influences. All dishes are prepared with the freshest and mostly seasonal ingredients. The restaurant offers unique oceanfront dining and a special Pier Table. Sunday nights are famous for their Italian Night theme.

Restaurant Ingridients offers a unique location overlooking the magical blue waters of the Caribbean Sea and states to be different, far from clichés and common places. The restaurant focusses on using locally produced fresh ingredients with dishes inherent to the Mediterranean cuisine, using the basic principles of French, Spanish and Italian cooking. 

Our favorite casual dining on Bonaire

If you are not in for a more exclusive night of fine dining, there is a wide selection of (smart) casual restaurants on Bonaire. From a fancy 3-course meal to a great burger with fries, we list our personal and favorite top 5 restaurants in this blog.

1. Capriccio

Restaurant Capriccio is definitely our favorite Italian restaurant on the island. The owners Lola & Andrea have served guests since 1994 with a passion for Italian food paired with amazing wines. From fresh antipasti to share, homemade bread and pastas to mouthwatering main dishes or crusty pizzas. If you're in for a good Italian dinner, this is your place to visit!​

2. It Rains Fishes

It Rains Fishes is a lovely restaurant on the boulevard of Kralendijk where you can enjoy an excellent meal while watching the most amazing sunsets the island has to offer. The freshest fish, directly from the fisherman on the pier in front of the restaurant, a nice cocktail or a good glass of wine will pair the honest, pure and homemade food.

3. Bubbles

​Restaurant Bubbles Bonaire is a new hotspot in town, located in the heart of the main street in Kralendijk offering a cozy setting filled with fishing nets and authentic maritime decor. On the menu are bubbles of course, but not only that. They strive to find the freshest ingridients available on the island to serve you a beautiful dish from their menu. 

4. La Cantina Cerveceria & The Brewery

La Cantina Cerveceria is one of the hidden gems you definitely must explore. Hidden in a tropical courtyard behind the Brewery, it offers a daily fresh fishmarket next to a beautiful menu. Where the Brewery is a cozy beer café offering a wide variety of beers on tap and bottle, both restaurants serve the same menu with daily different specials.

5. Cuba Compagnie

Cuba Compagnie is a nice casual restaurant on the main square in Kralendijk with an excellent ambiance and diverse menu with typical Cuban, but also international dishes.
Every Thursday night the restaurant is transferred into a Latin Bar where salsa dancing lovers take over the specially created dancefloor.
